These award-winning trucks stand out for their safety, efficiency and driver comfort. The jury, consisting of 23 leading commercial vehicle journalists from across Europe, praised the DAF XD Electric and XF Electric series for their exceptional energy efficiency, their sophisticated yet powerful drivetrain and their advanced technical architecture. In addition, the award-winning vehicles were recognised for their long range, the advantageous LFP battery technology and their superior driver comfort.
Florian Engel, Chairman of the \u201cInternational Truck of the Year\u201d jury, commented:

Drive train with Backlack and SWD EPS\u00ae technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n

SWD AG played a key role in developing the drive train, namely the stator and rotor packages. From the first prototypes to the start of series production to a fully linked EPS\u00ae<\/strong> baking system<\/a>. In combination with an Andritz\/Schuler punching press<\/a>, baked stator and rotor stacks are produced fully automatically. The advantages of Backlack<\/a> for these large stacks come into their own. <\/p>\n<\/div>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\n\t

SWD logistics partner goes electric<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our long-standing logistics partner Fasler Densb\u00fcren <\/strong>has recently started operating this very electric truck in its daily logistics activities \u2013 with very positive results. Managing Director Christoph Fasler reports: <\/p>\n

\u201cLast Tuesday I had the pleasure of collecting our new electric truck and have been on the road with it ever since. I\u2019m absolutely delighted and wouldn\u2019t want to drive anything else. It\u2019s an almost silent and very smooth driving experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The necessary infrastructure has already been established. An electric charging station with two 300 kW charging points<\/strong> has been installed on site to reliably charge the truck.<\/p>\n

This step is another important contribution by Fasler Densb\u00fcren to reducing our CO2 emissions<\/a> and designing sustainable transport logistics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
